Power Generation Plants
PTC designs and supplies integrated power-generation solutions based on capacity, fuel, climate, environmental requirements and project constraints.

Integrated power-generation solutions for industrial and infrastructure needs
Drawing on technical expertise, execution experience and rotating-equipment capability, PTC provides integrated power-generation solutions for industrial, oil, gas, petrochemical and infrastructure projects. Each solution is designed for stable, reliable and economical electricity supply while accounting for operating conditions, required capacity, fuel, environmental requirements and project constraints.
The portfolio includes gas-engine, gas-turbine, steam-turbine and combined-cycle power plants. Combined heat and power (CHP) makes productive use of generated electricity and heat to improve overall efficiency. For higher capacity and efficiency, combined-cycle power plants (CCPP) integrate gas and steam turbines for improved fuel utilization.
Plant configuration is selected after evaluating required capacity, fuel type and quality, environmental and climatic conditions, electrical load profile, required reliability, future expansion, grid-connection requirements and capital and operating costs. Solutions range from a distributed-generation unit for one industrial facility to large multi-unit plants operating in parallel.
In addition to prime power equipment, the scope may include preliminary studies and engineering, equipment selection and sizing, system design, complete power packages, Balance of Plant, control and protection systems, installation, commissioning and after-sales support. Equipment and systems are selected and configured to the project's technical standards.
Industrial projects may use natural gas, process gases and other acceptable fuels according to equipment and project requirements. Where process steam or hot water is needed in addition to electricity, CHP can significantly reduce wasted energy and improve total plant efficiency.
PTC power-generation solutions focus on reliability, energy efficiency, operational flexibility and optimized life-cycle cost across diverse industrial requirements.
